Treći album The Doorsa na štovatelje je djelovao kao hladan tuš. Većina je očekivala da će kročiti stazom dva uspjela prethodnika – s/t i Strange Days, no od navedenih je Waiting For The Sun zadržao brojnost “rasutih” skladbi. No, nije imao jezgrovite okosnice poput The Enda ili When The Music’s Over. Ovoga je puta Morrisonova poema Celebration Of The Lizard raskomadana, tako da se na albumu pojavio samo jedan segment; Not To Touch The Earth dok će Celebration Of The Lizard kao kompaktna cjelina danje svjetlo ugledati na živom albumu Absolutely Live kao i na naknadnim sabirnim i piratskim izdanjima.
Šteta, jer je u eri stasavanja progresivnog zvuka mogla pobrati lovorike! Svejedno, njezine su krhotine prikazale punu raskoš zamišljenog koncepta koji je moguće isčitati i iz koncertne verzije.
Album su izvukle pjesme koje su zračile hitoidnošću i eksperimentalnošću, poput Love Street, Five To One, Spanish Caravan i druge… Samo je Gušterovo slavlje podijeljeno na sedam faza, a to su:

Napomenimo da je propali plan o objavi Celebrationa… u formi albuma predviđao dvije strane od po dvadesetak minuta. Mnogo je elemenata koji su spriječili tu zamisao: neslaganje članova sastava, neslaganje kompanije Electra Records.… Što bilo da bilo, uskraćeni smo za nesuđeno remek djelo!

Album je trebao sadržavati dvije strane, svaka po oko osamnaest minuta trajanja. Predviđena poema… pa donosimo je u cijelosti, s tim da je na standardni album uvrštena samo fraza tj. fragment Not To Touch The Earth:

Pored spomenute Not To Touch The Earth, na raznim se bootleg izdanjima mogu naći još neki odbačeni dragulji poput Go Insane i praktički čitave fragmentirane poeme!
Tijekom vremena je procurila i produkcijski finalizirana verzija što već spada u domenu “što bi bilo da je bilo“! Mi možemo svejedno uživati u demo matrici kompletne skladbe te nekoliko zabilježenih lajv zapisa.
Nakon briljantnog uspjeha na matičnom, britanskom tlu, izvrsna serija ‘Broadchurch’ se ovih dana prikazuje i sjevernoameričkom gledateljstvu, a u međuvremenu je neočekivano hitrom reakcijom RTL-a oduševila i domaće gledateljstvo. No, u čemu se krije tajna ‘Broadchurcha’, posebice kada se ima u vidu pozamašna britanska produkcija serijala sa tematikom krimi-misterije?
Johnny Dowd je više nego zanimljiva i specifična pojava: puritanski ga country/blues fanovi mrze zbog njegovog koketiranja s elektronikom, lo-fi modelima i svim tim po njima eksperimentalnim formama, dok ga tzv. alternativci bez pardona svrstavaju u ergelu “mamuzara”. Svejedno, Johnny gura svoje, ne obraća pažnju na kritke s koje god strane došle, i upravo je to razlog što bez pardona niže odlične albume – i to već više od dva desetljeća! Posljednji, upravo objavljeni “That’s Your Wife on the Back of My Horse” samo potvrđuje pravilo!
