Landslide (R)
Jedna sasvim korektna repriza. // Povratak u studio obogaćen nezaboravnim putnim iskustvom, napunjenih baterija i pročišćenih čakri. Klizimo večeras po Mjesečevom krajoliku uz imaginarni soundtrack.
Daphni / Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra …
Dok se Snaith Caribuom zove i zagrijava Radiohead misionare na trenutnom im touru, Dan, Daphni postaje i Jiaolong za vlastiti, istoimeni label izdaje.
Taj istinski glazbeni kameleon za svoj posljednji izlet u čiste i hipnotičke ritmove skoro izvornog tech-house-a sam kaže:
I’d fallen back in love with moments in small, dark clubs when a DJ puts on a piece of music that not only can you not identify but that until you heard it, you could not have conceived of it existing. In contrast to live concerts where bands predictably string together the songs from their most recent album, DJs have the potential to blindside you, be genuinely surprising. As a music producer, the parameters of dance music seem wider. The rhythmic underpinnings are liberating rather than constraining, allowing the rest of the elements to coalesce from a broad palette.
Jiaolong slušamo u cijelosti, prekidanog zvučnim intervencijama super produktivnog i vjerojatno jednog od najboljih instrumentalista na zategnutim kožama, Shawn Lee-ja sa nove mu introspekcije funka nazvane Reel to Reel, ambijentalnim skejpovima Hidden Orchestra, tribal grooveom Papa Chango-a i tim zvonkim vokalima nove Beth Orton.

Milton, Shintaro, Greg, Phaorah..svi su ovu večer u društvu s još nekim milim i dragim ljudima i tope se u bojama dok čitava planeta ide down the drain.
Alabaster DePlume-u.
